June 6, 2018
Dear PRIDE Families,
As this school year winds down, I wanted to inform you that I will be retiring at the end of June, completing my 39th year serving the education community.
It gives me great joy looking back over these years, at the thousands of students I have had the pleasure of teaching, learning from, and knowing that in some way, I contributed to make a difference in their lives. While I will miss our PRIDE family here, I am excited about the new adventures that await. I look forward to traveling and enjoying my next chapter in life!
Thanks to the focused, dedicated, collaborative work of our outstanding staff members, students, and families, PRIDE has established a strong foundation for teaching and learning. In addition to our academic progress, our students continue to grow as kind, thoughtful individuals in a safe, supportive learning environment. They have truly embraced our “Watch Us Grow, with Empathy” mindset.
I am confident that our school will continue to collaborate to reach new heights meeting the needs of every child. I leave PRIDE with peace of mind, knowing that our Vice Principal, Mrs. Kristen Bonser, will be PRIDE’s new principal next year.
Please know I have appreciated the many experiences we have shared these last four years. I have especially enjoyed the relationships formed with so many outstanding students, educators, and parents. It has been an honor and a privilege to have served as your principal. I will cherish these memories, often.
