No School Monday:  There will be no school on Monday Feb. 19th, in recognition of Washington’s birthday. School will resume on Tuesday Feb. 20th.

Free guitar classes: PRIDE is offering a 10 weeks of guitar lessons for students in 4th-8th grades starting on March 9th. Lessons will be each Friday from  2:10-3:10 in the PRIDE Multipurpose Room. Lessons are for students with little or no experience or even advanced players. This class focuses on popular styles of guitar playing with an emphasis on technique, music reading, chord symbols, scales, and ensemble performance. This is a no cost program sponsored by the Santee School District Foundation. We still have spaces available and each class size is limited to 32 students. Registration is on a first come first serve basis. All students must register to participate. Students must use an acoustic guitar. Students may bring their own acoustic guitar, rent a guitar, or purchase a new guitar. Due to the popularity of the after-school guitar program, all guitar rentals and purchases must be paid online before February 22nd. This process will help ensure a smoother start to the first day of class. Click on this link to register: https://www.staumpmusicschool.com/santee-school-district-guitar-classes.htm

Jump Rope for Heart: Thank you all for making our Jump Rope for Heart so successful yesterday.  I especially appreciate our ASB students, and our PTA volunteers for helping coordinate, set up, and run our stations.  Our students and families have also been generous and have raised over $2,600 online for the American Heart Association.

Spring Fling is Coming: Our PTA is looking forward to another great Spring Fling this year. Lots of games, food and fun activities on Sat. April 28th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. We need volunteers to make this the best one yet. The link for parent volunteer spaces is included in this voice messages email.
