Degrees and Certifications:
Hello! My name is Kristina Tindle. I was raised in the coastal seaport town of Newburyport, Massachusetts. I then ventured to San Diego, California for college and graduated from the University of San Diego with a degree in Marketing. After working in market research, I realized what I enjoyed so much about my favorite marketing and business classes: working with people in groups. I had previously worked as a nanny for many different families and missed working with and forming relationships with children. So, I enrolled in a one-year Master’s Credential Cohort program for Elementary Education at the University of San Diego. I earned my M.Ed. in curriculum and instruction and my multiple subject teaching credential. I have experience teaching fifth and sixth grade and am extremely excited to be teaching fifth grade this year at PRIDE!
In my free time I enjoy going to the beach, cooking new dishes, and exploring the many gems the gorgeous city of San Diego has to offer. I am passionate about fostering personal identity development, growth mindset, and high self-worth in all students. I hope to inspire my future students to become life-long learners, empathetic friends, ethical leaders, and responsible global citizens!
I firmly believe in being partners in your child’s education and allies for their future. Open, honest communication is a top priority for me and I strive to keep you informed at all times. Additionally, I am always available by phone and email. Please make an appointment if you would like to visit before or after school, so I can be sure to be in the room. If you try to “drop by” and catch me, I may be in a meeting, on campus duty, or with another student/ parent.
