CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) INFORMATION
Student and Staff's health and well-being are the primary interests of Santee School District. We continue to work with other districts, the San Diego County Office of Education, and County of San Diego Health & Human Services Agency to monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. Following is a listing of District communication at a glance. Thank you for your support and partnership as we work together to maintain a healthy learning environment.

Video Message from Superintendent Baranski
Dr. Baranski showcased the iPad distribution work this week, the pickup of paper curriculum packets, and a set of pictures from the District's emergency child care at Hill Creek and Carlton Oaks. On Monday, we distributed 1,400 iPads at our school sites and another 250 iPads were picked up today at Educational Services. Based on these numbers, we believe we have over 6,500 iPads in the homes of our students, 93% of our students have their iPad at home. Some parents have chosen not to collect the iPad since they have other devices to use in the home. Our lunch distribution has increased by nearly 300 children today since PRIDE was added as a food pick-up location. Child nutrition distributed 1,224 breakfasts and lunches today.
Update - School Closure - April 6
Dr. Baranski went by the Educational Services and Child Nutrition Services departments to share the operations occurring through spring break. There are other site and department personnel working on site (aside from those noted in the video) during spring break, including Out-Of-School-Time Programs, site custodians, business services, human resources, and special education to make sure our District operations continue.
