    All About Me

Welcome, students and parents! I have taught at Pepper Drive School since 1996. Prior to this, I taught 1st grade at Rio Seco School. If we go back even further in my career, you would have found me at either Holy Trinity School in El Cajon or St. Columba School in Serra Mesa.
I received my BA and Masters from the University of San Diego. My master's degree is in "Curriculum and Instruction in Elementary Reading and Writing". I also hold a secondary credential in History.
I live in Fletcher Hills with my husband and yellow lab, Angus. I am a grandma of four girls and six boys! I also have a fourth grader this year, my grandson, Ryan.

I enjoy traveling in our motor home, gardening, and reading. My absolute favorite subject to teach is writing, especially when it's being connected to something we're reading about in social studies or science! I love being a teacher, and I am SO looking forward to a wonderful year with all of you. This year has special meaning for me because it will be my last year of teaching. Next June, my husband, Angus, and I will be ready to set sail into the sunset in our motorhome, traveling around this great country of ours.
We have so many "places to go and people to see" this year! We will begin the school year by creating a safe, secure, respectful learning environment for all of us. Making friends, respecting differences, and becoming compassionate will be a top priority all year long.
I'm so happy to be your child's teacher and look forward to meeting each of you.
