Important InformationCommunicationI welcome your calls before or after school at 619-258-3435. If you need to get a message to your child during the school day, please call the office at 619-258-3400. Please feel free to email me anytime at email@example.com. You will want to periodically visit my classroom’s website.School Hours 7:45-1:35Students must be on the kindergarten playground by 7:45 to be considered at school "on time". Dismissal is at 1:35. Students enrolled in Project Safe will be dropped off by the teacher. All other students will be walked to the front gate. We supervise the children until they are picked up. When picking up your child please park your car and come to the sidewalk. Students may only be released to persons who have been authorized to pick them up. Please let us know in advance if someone else is going to pick up your child and make sure that they are listed on your child’s emergency card. If you are more than 10 minutes late, children will be walked to the office to wait. Your child’s safety is our priority!Lunch/SnacksStudents go to recess at 9:30 a.m. and lunch at 11:00 a.m. A "healthy snack" is recommended for all students to enjoy during their recess. For lunch, students need to bring either a sack lunch or lunchbox (please label), lunch money, or have a lunch account. For those purchasing a lunch, money needs to be brought in a Ziploc bag with your child's name. The cost to purchase a school lunch is $3.00.AttendanceIf your child will be absent for 5 days or more, you can obtain an Independent Study Contract from the office for your child to complete during the time you are gone. Completed work will need to be returned so the absences do not affect your child’s attendance record.CommunicationI check email daily and will be conveying weekly information via email. Please make sure that I have a valid email address for you. Please let us know if you do not have email.VolunteersAll volunteers including those chaperoning on a field trip, must complete the "Volunteer Handbook" and return it to the school secretary.
