The purpose of the Communication Committee is to expand the communication links in the District so a broader range of constituents have an opportunity to clarify, discuss, and hear the latest information in the District and report it accurately back to the stakeholders they represent.
It is the Superintendent’s intent to reach out and work together for common goals, provide information and proactive communication to all stakeholders about current issues pertaining to budget decisions, issues and rumors, and clarify perceptions about District decisions. The Superintendent provides reports to the members at each of these meetings and it is the responsibility of each member to report back information to the stakeholders they represent.
The committee is comprised of two Board members, one principal, one vice principal, department representatives, employee association representatives, and a minimum of one parent, teacher and classified staff member from each school.
The Communication Committee generally meets on the first Monday of the month (except on holiday and during breaks). If you are interested in participating on this committee or have questions, please call the Superintendent’s Office at (619) 258-2304.
Meetings are held in the Educational Resource Center, 9619 Cuyamaca Street, Santee, CA 92071, from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.
