PRIDE Academy at Prospect Avenue School

Your Beary Special Teachers

Mrs. Snyder

Hello Parents and Brainy Bears!

I am one of your teachers, Mrs. Snyder.  I am so excited to have you all be a part of the PRIDE Academy and Room 3, the Brainy Bears!

I have been a teacher for nine years now, and a part of the PRIDE Academy for six years where I have taught kindergarten and first grade.

I went to San Diego State University where I received my Bachelor's degree in Communication and my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential.

I am married to my wonderful husband Todd, and have two beautiful children.  Riley is four years old, and Janie is three years old!

I am so excited to be your teacher!  I look forward to all the wonderful experiences and opportunities you will have to grow this school year, and seeing your parents PRIDE and joy as they delight in watching you!

 Mrs. Rosa
Hello Room 3 Families!
My name is Shawna Rosa, and I am also one of your teachers.  I am very excited to be teaching with Mrs. Snyder this year, and to be working with the first graders!
The 2012-2013 school year will be my 10th year teaching and my 9th year at this school!  During my time at this school, I have loved my positions as Language Arts Specialist (1 year), 7th and 8th grade Language Arts teacher (3 years), and kindergarten teacher (5th year).
I am a Santee native.  I grew up here and attended Hill Creek Elementary from kindergarten until 8th grade.  After that, I went to Santana High School.  I later graduated from San Diego State University, and three years ago I received my Masters Degree from Brandman University.
In 2010, my husband Jeff and I welcomed our first child into the family.  Our daughter, Annalee, is a red-haired ball of energy!  I am very thankful for the opportunity this year to be "sharing a contract" with Mrs. Snyder.  I love to be in the classroom watching the students blossom, and I am also able to get the chance to be at home watching Annie learn and grow too!  The fun and excitement in  my life have been non-stop, and I can't wait to see the joyful happenings that this school year will add!
