On Saturday, June 4, 2011, the San Diego Union Tribune published an article comparing per pupil spending to student performance for school districts throughout San Diego County.  The article stated that money may be necessary for school improvement but it does not guarantee that improvement takes place.  The comparison chart (provided as an attachment) reflects the dedication and commitment of all staff to keep as much funding in the classroom as possible and directed towards student learning.

We are extremely proud of the accomplishments of Santee School District. We hope employees, parents, and students have a restful and enjoyable summer and we look forward to the 2011-12 school year.
