• Welcome to Santee Transportation Department

    Transportation:
noun -  A facility consisting of the means and equipment necessary for the movement of passengers or goods.

At Santee School District, Transportation Department, safety is our primary goal for your child. And with efforts of our Department, School Staff, parents and the students we will continue to provide a safe and enjoyable ride for your child.

In the State of California, school bus drivers go through a rigorous training in the laws and regulations regarding school pupil transportation, defensive driving techniques, emergency procedures, first aid, and many hours of behind-the-wheel instruction. They are required to complete training every year, pertaining to school pupil safety.

Even though our school bus drivers are highly trained, it is also up to the students to demonstrate safe riding habits. Student misconduct can cause an unsafe environment on the bus.

The Santee School District Board has adopted procedures to help enforce the rules and ensure proper conduct on the bus and while at the bus stop. All students on board the bus are under the authority of and directly responsible to the bus driver. In the links provided, you will see a set of rules/procedures for the children. Information to contact us, and some forms to print out to sign your child up for transportation.

We hope your experience with us will be an enjoyable one and please, do not hesitate to call us if you have any questions or concerns.

    Thank you,
