Renaissance Group Project

1.        Research and design typical Renaissance clothing.  Drawings should include clothing for nobles, merchants, men, women, children and the monks.  Put the drawings in the form of a booklet.  You may include material swatches, pattern designs or anything that would make the booklet more interesting.  The booklet should be 5-10 pages long and have at least two samples (total of 12) of each type of clothing. 

2.       Create a Renaissance newspaper.  It must include stories about events that were taking place during that era, advertisements, obituaries, weather reports, and entertainment as well as interviews (have at least 8 interview questions), and anything else a newspaper of today might have.  The newspaper should be  5-10 pages long with 12 features. 

3.       Make up a “People” magazine of Renaissance events and celebrities (include Shakespeare plays, famous explorers, inventors, artists and anyone else you think would attract a reader’s attention.  It should be 5-10 pages long, both sides. Include advertisements, entertainment, and gossip.  The magazine should include at least 12 features.

4.       Renaissance medicine was very different than it is today. Research what doctors believed caused disease during this period and how they cared for the sick.  Then make up a medical journal of 5- 10 pages based on your findings. The journal must have at least 12 findings.
