•    Welcome Back!  I am excited to embark on a new school year with your child.  I grew up in a small town on the border of Ventura and Los Angeles County.  I moved to San Diego to attend college at San Diego State University where I received both my bachelor’s degree in liberal studies and my teaching credential.  Shortly after I received my master's degree in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in technology from Concordia University.

This is my 9th year teaching.  Prior to working at Pepper Drive I was a third grade teacher in Chula Vista for two years.  I was then fortunate to become a part of the Pepper Drive family where I have been an impact teacher, as well as taught 5th and 6th grade.  I have a lot of experience working with very diverse students.  I believe that children have a variety of ways to learn information; therefore it is my job to make sure that I engage each and every student.

Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family which includes my husband Jay, my son Caleb and our golden retriever named Skyy.  On my spare time I enjoy walking on the beach, going for runs and spending time with family and friends.

I am a strong believer in good communication because I believe that students are much more successful when there is open communication.  Please feel free to contact me at Krista.rosen@santeesd.net if you have any questions or concerns.  Let’s make it a good year!
