• Be a Volunteer!

Chet F. Harritt is happy to host volunteers that support the learning on campus as well as the beautification of our school.  Whether it be attending a fieldtrip, supporting classroom instructional materials, reading with individual students, or participating in a campus clean-up day, we are thrilled to have you as part of the Cheetah team.  If you are planning on serving as a volunteer, please stop by the office to fill out a volunteer application and receive a copy of the volunteer handbook, or, just click the link.

Click on the Volunteer Packet 2016  or  Volunteer Handbook (Spanish)  for your reference and submission to the school office.

    Some volunteer opportunities include:

    Breakfast Club

The breakfast club is a group of parents, grandparents, and dedicated volunteers who gather together to help teachers with a wide variety of projects. Their contribution helps free teachers to focus their energies on the art of teaching, and offers the volunteers an opportunity to contribute where they're needed, in a relaxed and friendly environment.  Breakfast Club meets on Wednesday mornings in the media center. Please feel welcome to come join us!

    Rolling Readers
In the rolling readers program, dedicated and trained volunteers are paired with students who can benefit from one-on-one assistance to develop literacy skills and reading fluency. The benefits are great for both volunteers and students, and allows these important volunteers to work with our most precious asset, our children.

    Fieldtrip Support

Teachers will send information home about fieldtrips throughout the year.  If you are planning to attend with your child, please ensure you have an up-to-date volunteer form submitted to the office.  We know you will have a wonderful experience learning alongside our Chet F. Harritt youth.
