    Dress Code

Cajon Park School enforces the Santee School District dress code. Details are available in the office and online. Students with inappropriate dress will be given the opportunity to contact a parent for an alternative choice. Consistent violations, especially in Junior High, may be viewed as defiance and may result in discipline. Please note that the Dress Code limits facial piercings to the ears only. Contact the office if you have any questions.

    Cell Phones

Students’ cell phones should be in the “off” position during the school day and put away out of sight at all times. They may be used before/after school on sidewalks in front of the school buildings. If they are found to be active or visible, students will have the phone confiscated for the day. Repeated problems will result in a parent being required to retrieve the phone and/or further discipline.

    Primary Dismissal

Children waiting with or without parents for older siblings to be dismissed will wait seated in the lunch area. Students and parents are asked not to wait at Project SAFE, the tables by the LRC, or at classroom doors. Children of all ages are asked not to play on the grass in the quad during this time. Swings and playground equipment are not open to anyone unless during recess, lunch, or designated PE time. Please refrain from allowing any children to use the equipment.

    Non-Compliant Foods

All families are encouraged to avoid sending any foods to classrooms unless specifically requested by the teacher. Birthday treats should not be food. We recommend pencils, other school supplies, and other non-edible treats. Many students on campus have specific food allergies, and the School District Wellness Policy prohibits the distribution of food unless for a specific activity. Please contact your teacher for specific details. Any foods sent without prior approval will not be distributed.
