Principal's Message

Welcome back to a new year at Rio Seco School. You and your children are the cornerstone of Rio Seco’s tradition of excellence. 

 

We now have four ways to enter and exit the school. You may use the North (across the street from the school district offices), East (adjacent to the Sports-Center), or South (enter next to the ball fields) gate in addition to the traditional entrance at the front of the school. These additional gates will be open 8:15-8:30 and at dismissal.  

School begins promptly at 8:30.  With the additional access gates available, all students are expected to be on time.  Please have your child prepare their lunch, school clothes and homework the night before so they are ready to go.  Also, please make sure your child knows how they are getting home each day so there is no confusion.

 

You can help school attendance by:

 

1.          Encouraging and supporting regular attendance for your child.

2.          If your child is ill, call the school promptly and keep him/her at home until he/she is well.

3.          If your child has a dentist or doctor’s appointment, please bring him/her to school before or after the appointment so your child can be counted in the attendance record and not miss an entire instructional day.

4.          Make sure your child is in the class line on time.
