OUT OF SCHOOL TIME PROGRAMS Our department is rapidly changing and expanding. Out-of-School Programs includes Project SAFE, ASES (After School Education and Safety) Program, YALE Preschool and Afterschool Enrichment Programs. Project SAFE is a before and after school program at Cajon Park, Carlton Hills, Carlton Oaks, Chet F. Harritt, Hill Creek, Pepper Drive, Rio Seco, and Sycamore Canyon Schools. Our ASES Program is a grant-funded program at PRIDE Academy at Prospect Avenue. YALE Preschool is located at three campuses: Hill Creek, Sycamore Canyon and Carlton Hills. PROJECT SAFE PROGRAM Child care through Project SAFE is available to any student who attends school in the Santee School District. While our function is primarily day care in nature; your child must attend school for all or part of the day to be able to participate in Project SAFE. It has been the commitment of the Project SAFE staff to provide students with the best possible available at an affordable price. ASES PROGRAM If you desire additional information on our ASES Program located at PRIDE Academy at Prospect Ave. School please call the Out-Of-School Time ASES Program at (619) 956-5210 or the Out-Of-School Time office at (619) 258-2369 from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. YALE PRESCHOOL YALE Preschool is for children who are 3 to 5 years old. We have programs on Carlton Hills, Hill Creek and Sycamore Canyon School campuses. YALE Preschool offers wrap-around care for children who attend the District's Early Admission to Kindergarten (EAK) Program. AFTERSCHOOL ENRICHMENT After School Enrichment Program includes: Swimming, Art and Music Lessons, childcare from the time your child gets out of school until lesson ends and a nutritional snack when your child gets out of school. These programs are available to any student in the Santee School District.
