Deferred Compensation Program Information

 

The opportunity to participate in a voluntary supplemental retirement program

is available to all Santee School District employees and substitute employees.

There are two types of programs available:

 

1. Empower Retirement Plans, which are administered through the Fringe Benefits Consortium (FBC), the provider for the San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE). Investment options include 403b, 457b, and Roth accounts.

 

2. Outside Vendor Plans(Non-Empower), which are administered by SchoolsFirst, our district’s Third Party Administrator. There are several outside vendors available who are not connected to the SDCOE. Available investment options include 403b and 457b accounts. Contact schools first or your chosen vendor directly to open an account.

 

Note – The Payroll Department will receive notification from SchoolsFirst to set up payroll deductions for all new accounts and changes.
