The District will pay for the medical premium for the retiree (single party coverage) up to the annual cap. The annual caps are as follows:

  1. Management employees - $7,200 annually ($600 monthly)
  2. Certificated employees - $9,000 annually ($750 monthly)
  3. Classified employees' contributions are determined on the hours worked per week:
    1. Employees who worked 20-29.99 hours - $4,940 annually ($411.67 monthly)
    2. Employees who worked 30-39.99 hours - $6,840 annually ($570 monthly)
    3. Employees who worked 40 hours - $7,600 annually ($633.33 monthly)

If your medical premium exceeds the annual cap, then the retiree is responsible for the remainder of the premium. If a retiree chooses to cover a dependent under their medical plan, the retiree is responsible for the entire portion of the dependent's premium.

Dental and vision benefits are not included in the District contribution. All dental and vision premiums will be paid by the retiree.
