Appointment of of Coordinator, Expanded Learning Program (ELP): Davina Hale was appointed as Coordinator, Expanded Learning Program. Prior to her current role as a Project Specialist for the San Diego County Office of Education's Expanded Learning Program, Ms. Hale served as the Out-of-School Time Coordinator for the Santee School District from 2022 to 2023. Ms. Hale brings extensive experience in expanded learning and youth development. Throughout her career, she has served as the Director of Expanded Learning for The Children's Initiative, Expanded Learning Program Secretary for the Lemon Grove
School District, Expanded Learning Program Site Leader, and Child Care Supervisor for the East County Family YMCA.

Adoption of Resolution 2627-02 Annual Theme Recognitions for 2026-2027: The Board approved the annual Belonging Theme Recognitions. The Santee School District is committed to providing a welcoming learning environment where all students, staff, and families are valued and engaged. Throughout the 2026–27 school year, the District will recognize nationally observed heritage and awareness months that reflect the history, cultures, experiences, and contributions of many members of our school community. Schools may support these observances through age appropriate educational resources, classroom activities, and opportunities for family and community engagement.

Approval of the Proposition 28 Arts and Music in Schools Funding Annual Report for Fiscal Year 2025-2026: The Board approved the Annual Report. Each year the District is required to submit an annual report to the California Department of Education reporting on the District’s use of Prop 28 funding. For the 2025-26 school year the District’s Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) program was staffed by eight and a half-dedicated educators specializing in music or theater, bringing expertise and passion to their teaching. The program is structured to provide consistent exposure to the arts ensuring a balanced and comprehensive arts education.
