At a Special Meeting on September 24, 2024, Dr. Timothy Glover was sworn in to Seat #5 on the Santee School District Board of Education, with his term expiring in December 2026.
“On behalf of the Board of Education, I am thrilled to welcome our new member,” said Dustin Burns, Santee School District Board President. “Dr. Glover’s extensive experience and passion for public education are invaluable assets that will undoubtedly assist this Board in driving positive change and innovation within our organization. We look forward to his contributions and working with him to build bright futures for our students, staff, and community."
Dr. Glover is a 33-year resident of East County. He served as Superintendent of the Grossmont Union High School District from 2016 to 2020. In that capacity, he provided leadership and oversight of the educational programs and construction improvements that serve more than 21,000 students at 12 comprehensive school sites and three special education academies.
Prior to joining GUHSD, Dr. Glover was the Assistant Superintendent of the Student Services and Programs Division at the San Diego County Office of Education. He has more than 30 years of experience as an educational leader, including roles as teacher, assistant principal, principal, program manager, assistant director, director of special support services, assistant superintendent, and interim superintendent.
Dr. Glover is a product of Castle Park High School. He attended UCLA for his undergraduate studies, earned an MS in Educational Administration from National University and a doctorate of education in organizational management from the University of La Verne. He also holds several professional credentials and was honored by the San Diego Chapter of the Association of California School Administrators as the Special Education Administrator of the Year.
“Celebrating and elevating” has been a continuous and ever-evolving theme of his administration that has been marked by helping people attain higher levels of success. The efforts and programs he and his team have put into place have been instrumental in supporting the needs of students and staff along with fostering strong community and business relations.
