Adoption of Resolution No. 2526-11 Naming of Facility – Barbara L. Ryan Educational Resource Center: The Board approved the renaming of the Douglas E. Giles Educational Resource Center to the Barbara L. Ryan Educational Resource Center, to honor Mrs. Ryan for her service on the Santee School District Board of Education from 1979 to 2026.

Assembly Bill (AB) 1390: Public School Governance: Board Member Compensation: The Board agreed to implement AB 1390 and the proposed
monthly stipend structure.

Appointment of Manager, Career Technical Education (CTE) and Special Projects: To support the Strong Workforce Program grant roll-out and its successful implementation, and procurement of future grant funding, Dan Prouty was appointed to the position of Manager, Career Technical Education and Special Projects. Mr. Prouty has served in various management roles within the District and his site and district level experiences will be a great asset to this program.

Approval of Salary Increase for Certificated Management, Classified Management, and Confidential Employees for 2025-2026: The Board approved a 2.74% increase to the 2025-26 salary schedule, effective July 1, 2025, for Certificated Management, Classified Management, and Confidential Employees.

Authorization to Fund Counselors and Social Workers on the Reduction List for 2026-27 School Year: The Board authorized funding for the counselors and social workers included on the reduction list for the 2026–27 school year using the Federal School-Based Mental Health Grant and CYBHI billing revenues.

Authorization to Provide Direction to Explore a General Obligation Bond Tax Extension: The Board provided direction to Administration to further explore a $30M General Obligation Bond tax extension.

Approval of the 2025-26 Transportation Plan: The Board approved the Home-to-School Transportation Plan. Santee School District transports approximately 90 special education students and 222 general education students.

Authorization to Award E-Rate Competitive Bid to ITMC Vendor for the District’s Network Switch and Battery Backup Equipment: The Board approved the award of the E-Rate Network Hardware bid to IT Management Corporation (ITMC).
