Spotlight on Education: Carlton Oaks staff provided an update on student assessment and survey results from the 2023-24 school year as well as site collaboration plans for the 2024-25 school year.

Spotlight: The Board recognized Rocky Herron for his I Choose My Future presentation to all grade 6 – 8 students in the District. The presentation provides youth with comprehensive, straightforward insight into how substance abuse impacts the individual, their families, and society.

The Board approved the cancellation of the July 1, 2025, Board of Education meeting.

The Santee School District Home to School Transportation Plan was approved. The adoption of this plan will allow the district to receive additional state funding that will cover roughly 37% of the total cost of transportation.

Pride Academy's request was approved to ratify Board approval for the extended field trip to “Spring Jam”. Three students in grades 6th-8th attended the annual student leadership event in March this year.
The Spring Jam Conference is a Countywide Club Live event sponsored by the San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE). Club Live is a youth leadership program that addresses character development, community services, and substance abuse prevention.
