The Santee School District Board of Education met at 6 p.m., Tuesday, October 21, 2025. Meeting highlights included:
Reports and Presentations
- Spotlight: School Beautification Day - the Board of Education recognized the incredible efforts of Pathways Community Church and their dedicated volunteers during School Beautification Day. For the past 14 years, Pathways Church has been a key partner in ensuring that our schools are not only ready for the first day of class but are also a place of pride for our students, staff, and the entire Santee community.
- Spotlights on Education: Pepper Drive and Sycamore Canyon staff presented updates to the Board highlighting what makes the school unique and outlining strategic plans to elevate student achievement for the 2025–2026 school year.
Discussion and/or Action Items
- The Board appointed the Superintendent’s committee assignments to fill vacancies on the various Board Advisory Committees. The applicants represent a variance of schools throughout the District. Administration will continue to recruit membership in Board Advisory Committees to assure parent and community input is received. Committee assignments are listed in the Board Packet.
- The Board approved an agreement with San Diego County Office of Education for PBIS training, coaching and support services for the remainder of this school fiscal year. Over the past several years, school site staff has been on a training rotation to fully train staff and allow every school site to implement these best practices.
