Santee School District assures an affordable and comprehensive benefits package to those employees who work 20+ hours per week. The benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, and life coverage for the employee. Employees have the option to enroll their dependents in a medical or dental plan. All new employees will be eligible for benefits on the first day of the month following their hire date.

If you would like to go over our benefits offerings in person, or require technical assistance, please contact Human Resources at [email protected] or call (619) 258-2313 to schedule an appointment.

If you're satisfied with your current plans and do not wish to make any changes, no action is required—your existing plans will automatically roll over into 2027.

Open Enrollment 

  • Open Enrollment will take place from Monday, October 12 through Friday, October 23 at 4:00 p.m.
  • Any changes made during this period will take effect on January 1, 2027.
    • Please note: after this window closes, you will not be able to make changes to your benefit elections until the 2028 Open Enrollment period—unless you experience an IRS-qualifying life event.
  • Offering 19 different plans for the upcoming year. For full details, please refer to the Employee Benefits Guide.

Making Changes to Your Current Plan

  • Log into Benefitplace, the district’s online enrollment portal, by October 23.
  • 2027 Benefit Video Resources links are in the PDF attachment QE Benefit Videos Resources
  • Once enrolled, please review the attached Benefit Plan Flyers for guidance on accessing services, obtaining a digital medical card, locating providers, and contacting representatives for personalized support.

Delta Dental PPO/Deltacare and VSP Vision

Please register for the Delta Dental Member Portal here: https://www1.deltadentalins.com/members.html

Once your account has been created, you will be able to access your digital ID card, review your benefits, and take advantage of any additional member programs and services available through Delta Dental.

Delta Dental PPO and VSP Vision do not issue physical ID cards. To use your benefits
visit Delta Dental PPO/Deltacare USA or VSP Vision. When contacting a provider, you’ll be asked for your plan name and your Social Security number, which serves as your member ID.

Voluntary Plans

We will offer the following voluntary plans for payroll deductions in 2027. Please visit the Voluntary Plans webpage for more information.

If you would like to cancel an existing plan, please complete the Voluntary Plan Cancellation form, and email it to [email protected].
