Preschool classes are in session for 3 hours, Monday through Friday. We follow the District’s school calendar. We offer am session times that start as early as 8am, and pm session times that start as early as 12:30pm. Parents may request a preferred time, but they are not guaranteed.

Prospect Avenue Preschool Annex is located at:                 8655 Ellsworth Lane in Santee

Preschoolers are served a full breakfast or lunch. These meals are subsidized and there is no charge to parents.

Our teachers have a program committed to the following goals:

  • Meet the individual developmental needs of each child
  • Help nurture each child’s self-esteem and relationship with other children
  • Provide a safe, healthy environment where children can feel free to discover and learn
  • Encourage each child to develop problem solving skills and decision making abilities
  • Introduce each child to music, art, literature, friendship and creative play
  • Meet the needs of parents in further developing parenting skills

Our preschool program helps prepare children for Transitional Kindergarten (TK), Early Admission Kindergarten (EAK) and Kindergarten.
