Response to COVID-19
Santee School District abides by California Department of Public Health requirements while developing protocols in response to COVID-19. The Board of Education continues to advocate for a safe, in-person learning environment where all students and staff can thrive. Below are letters the Board has written to the Governor, State health representatives and local legislators in response to COVID-19 mandates in schools.
Feb. 10, 2022 - Elimination of weekly testing requirements for unvaccinated staff
Feb. 22, 2022 - Elimination of mask mandate in schools
Aug. 26, 2022 - Second request to eliminate weekly testing requirements for unvaccinated staff
