Web Links

Links are more useful when they make sense out of context. Avoid uninformative link phases like "Click Here" or other ambiguous link text, such as "More" or "Continue" or "Read More"

Link Length

There is no maximum allowable length for link text. For practical purposes, the link needs to be long enough to convey the purpose of the link.

Example:
Link that says "Click here to access today's weather forecast" can be shorten to "Today's Weather"

Empty Link and Underline Word/Sentence

Links should not be empty. They must always contain text or images with alternative text (alt tag). An empty link can be very confusing for keyboard and screen reader users.

Do Not use Underline Word or Sentence if there is not a link. Screen readers looks at underlined sentences as a link.
