Before Your Child Receives a District iPad

Parents of Incoming Kindergarten Through Eighth Grade Students:

Parents must complete the following steps before students will be issued the device:

1. New parents must view the Parent 1:1 Digital Learning Orientation. Watch this by clicking HERE.

 2. Review the 1:1 Digital Learning Program Policies and Procedures Handbook.

3. Create a login account in PowerSchool. You can use this account to view your child's grades, class schedule, and attendance. To do this, you will need your child's access I.D. and password (these were sent to you, by letter, at the start of the school year). If you no longer have this information, contact Technology Support at 258-2240. Click HERE for a tutorial video showing how to set up your account.

In addition, once this account has been created, you will be able to complete the following online forms in PowerSchool:

   A. Technology Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

   B. Student/Parent 1:1 Digital Learning Participation Agreement

   C. Student Device Financial Responsibility

   D. Santee School District Internet Photograph & Artwork Release

   E. Google Services Permission

After receiving their iPads in fall, 2019, all kinder through eighth grade students will be completing a unit on “digital citizenship” in their classes during which they will learn about how to use technology responsibly.

For additional information, please contact your child's teacher.
