English Language Development Report Card Addendums
The California Department of Education requires all English Learners to be monitored yearly through the administration of the English Language Proficiency Assessment for California (ELPAC). The annual summative assessment window is February 1st to May 31st every year. The initial assessment is given to students that are potiential English Learners based on information provided on the Home Language Survey (HLS) within 30 days of first enrollment. Summative assessment student score reports (SSR) are sent home during the summer and the initial assessment SSRs are sent home shortly after the test is given to the student.
In addition, the Santee School District monitors English Language Development (ELD) through the use of a ELD Report Card Addendum that is attached to the student's report card. This is filled out by your child's teacher each trimester and sent home with the report card. A copy is kept in the cumulative folder at the end of each school year.
Please call the English Learner Department if you have any questions regarding this ELD Report Card Addendum at 619-258-2343.
